Originally from California, Keith & Marla moved their family to San Diego in 2011. For several years they worked building a successful business in North San Diego County. As satisfying as that was, God was dealing with their hearts to do more. God spoke very clearly to Pastor Keith to start a church for the disenfranchise; those who have been hurt in life and hurt in church. There are great churches in San Diego County. Yet, God has clearly placed Courageous Church among great company to reach the many who need a Savior.

Pastor Keith Morrison

To quote A. W. Tozer, "A scared world needs a fearless church." We are living in the most exciting time in history. When many people are afraid and feel as though things are falling apart, we firmly believe that things aren't falling apart - they are falling into place. We want to teach people how to live boldly and full of courage in these last days. We firmly believe what the Apostle Paul declared, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to His power that works in us." (Eph. 3:20) We invite you to join with us and share the gospel with the families of North County.

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible Word of God.

There is only one true God, eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and the God the Holy Spirit.

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.

The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.

Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.

In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.

In the believer’s baptism as taught in the Holy Scriptures: Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:36-38

In the rapture of the Church.

In the resurrection of both the saved and lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to eternal separated from God.

What We Believe

We believe in GOD—the maker and sustainer of all things, who created us for relationship with Him. That relationship was broken because of SIN. Sin brought death into the world—death in our physical bodies and death in our spiritual being. Sin separated us from God and broke our relationships with others. But God sent His son JESUS to become a man, live a perfect life, and offer Himself for our sins. By trusting in Jesus we can become right with God and enter into relationship with Him. We have been gathered into God’s family, the CHURCH, and given a mission to make disciples of Jesus. We live our lives as an act of WORSHIP, seeking to love others like Jesus loves us. We celebrate that through Christ’s sacrificial and substitutionary death we have been granted eternal LIFE; can accept His free gift, and will spend eternity with Him.
